I used to feel completely stuck — frustrated with my body, overwhelmed by all the conflicting advice online, and constantly starting over. What finally changed everything? Learning how to eat for my goals, moving consistently, and shifting my mindset from “all or nothing” to just keep going.

This wasn’t about finding the perfect diet — it was about unlearning years of bad habits and finally creating ones that fit my life. I stopped relying on willpower alone and built systems: tracking macros, planning my meals, and showing up for myself even on the hard days..

The woman on the left didn’t feel confident, strong, or in control. I didn’t get here overnight — it took education, consistency, and learning to trust the process. Once I focused on small daily habits instead of chasing quick fixes, the weight came off… and stayed off.

"I had tried every diet out there and always ended up back at square one. Working with Amanda was the first time it all actually made sense. She didn’t just give me a plan — she taught me how to make it fit my life. I’ve lost weight, yes, but more importantly, I feel in control again."

My Story

I’ve always had a deep love for movement and fitness. Growing up, I was a three-sport athlete — soccer, track, and lacrosse — and eventually earned a Division I lacrosse scholarship, where I learned the foundations of strength training and conditioning. But after graduation, real life hit. I stepped out of the athlete world and into the workforce as a teacher, and suddenly, everything I thought I knew about staying fit didn’t seem to work anymore.

Like many women, I tried to keep exercise a priority — but between teaching full-time, managing everyday responsibilities, and trying to stay “healthy,” I slowly lost touch with my body. I didn’t gain all the weight at once, but I’ll never forget the moment I saw a picture of myself and felt like I didn’t recognize the woman in it. I was in my 20s… and yet, I felt tired, uncomfortable, and completely disconnected from myself.

I went searching for answers — and like so many others, I found myself lost in a sea of trendy workouts, quick-fix programs, and contradicting advice:

21-Day Fix.

Weight Watcher.

12/3/30.

Keto.

HIIT.

Low-fat.

No carbs.

All protein.

It felt like everyone had a solution — and none of them worked for

me.

I bounced from program to program, doing “everything right” and seeing no real change. I was frustrated, burned out, and ready to give up.

That’s when I finally stopped chasing the next fad and started learning how the body actually works. I got certified in fitness and nutrition and applied everything I learned to myself first — slowly shifting my habits, building consistency, and creating a lifestyle that I could actually maintain.

And it worked. I lost the weight — over 50 pounds — and more importantly, I felt better than I ever had, even in my college athlete days.

Strong. Confident. Proud.

But the biggest transformation wasn’t physical. It was mental. I realized that this journey wasn’t about perfection or willpower — it was about strategy, education, and daily habits. And once I cracked that code, I knew I wanted to help other women do the same.

That’s why I started Warrior Bird Wellness and created
